The first cut...

..is the deepest - as Bryan Adams rightly sang a few (ha!) years back.

And nothing hurts as much as cutting for the first time in some beloved patterned paper. But I am embracing it these days and cutting up papers with bold patterns has become one of my favourite techniques.
