2S4Y - Kazan's Sketch #38 - It's Goodbye from me

Now, where on earth have the last six months gone? I am continuously amazed at how quickly time flies these days and it feels like it was ony a few weeks ago that {kazan} and {laura} invited me to become part of their team at {2s4y}.

What I love the most about the blog - well apart from the wonderful sketches and weekly inspiration through DT and readers - is that the DT changes regular. After six months, you will always see fresh faces and I think that is what makes this challenge blog so popular and keeps them on top of the game. There are so many wonderful card makers around the globe, with so many different styles that it is refreshing to have this regular change.

Of course I am very sad that today marks my last day, but I am also looking forward to see who makes the new team and to participate in the challenges from the other side of the screen ;-)
And look  what Kazan and Laura said about their leaving DT members {here} - made me well up, that did *wipessnotaway*

Enough of the words, let's get on with the Farewell Sketch already...
This week, the DT were generously sponsored by the printable stamps from the {cutting cafe} once more. Regina has been spoiling us over the last six month with fantastic stamp sets, so it was only fitting that we would end our term with some awesome Halloween Stamp sets.

I played around with the {halloween this and that} set and the {halloween background}. The hardest part was choosing which of the 22 images I was going to use...but I got there eventually.

Kazan's sketch was a dream to work with - as always.

For my card, I printed the Happy Halloween background stamp onto a piece of kraft cardstock, as I wanted to keep the colours of the card itself muted. I really adore that pumpkin stamp so I printed this onto two different coloured pieces of cardstock and cut out individual pieces of the darker coloured pumpkin. Embossing the pieces and adhering them on top of the lighter coloured pumpkin, gives you dimension and texture. To finish the pumpkins off, I used some glitter glue on the lighter areas of them pumpkin.

I hope you will all play along with {anja}, {lori}, {latisha} and myself for our final sketch. But don't forget that {cheryl} and {sankari} will stay on for another term and then there is the excitement of four new designers being announced soon.
