{pencil lines} has turned an amazing three years this month and I am truly excited for my buddy {anna} that her blog has established itself amongst the myriad of challenge blogs across the globe.
I was so honoured to have been invited by Anna when she first started the blog and enjoyed my DT stint from October 2006 until October 2007.
You may have noticed the birthday celebrations going on all this weekend and many of my good friends -> for example {sasha}, {christiane} and {sandie} have participated in the Blog Hop. Then there are oodles of past and present designers who created sketches, step-by-step and other yummyness for the Birthday Bash. Of course I didn't need to be asked twice to play along too. See my sketch {here} and link over there to your take on the sketch to be in for a chance to win a RAK....wooohooo

So, what else is new? I have been in a card making mood like no ones business but most of them are for upcoming assignments so I have to keep them under wraps, but a few I can share. You may notice my extreme obsession with the three dimensional layering - but you know, I just LOVE it. Cutting and layering are so therapeutic.
I started off with purging through my old scrapbooks and pulled out all those pages with I didn't really like. There were many which were done specifically for a product showcase for a Kit Club or an Online store and they were really not me. I just created them because I had to and they bear no sentimental value to me. I nall honesty, I create for my own personal enjoyment, so about every two years I purge my layouts. The ones I dislike go in the bin - but of course I will always take off ay embellies and pictures first. So, yesterday afternoon I was 35 layouts poorer but already re-scrapped some of the pictures saved and LOVE what I did now.
But I digress - I also salvaged some older papers, which I loved enough to use again but thanks to the stickyness of the glue, I could only get a few scraps for cards....hence my card-a-thon.
The first card was created for the present {passion for promarkers} challenge. You get to use the sketch and can use ANY colours you like for colouring images. Now, I am still in the learning stages of the colouring business and I am not 100% convinced about this one, but I guess it will do for now. For the butterfly and flowers I used about 10/11 different colours, such as Ivory, Lemon, Turqouise, Duck Egg Blue, Apple, Moss, various Greys.
And I also made these little beauties: they consists of many small bits of purged paper. I just layered bits and pieces, so it would not show that some flowers had bits missing :). Ya, I can be clever sometimes....
Finally there is a card I created for the {2s4y} blog - but as I didn't read our assignment properly I ended up with a surplus card that does not follow any of the sketches. What did I just say earlier on about me being clever....I think I better retract that statement for now
Now, quickly before I go: Those of you who shop online with me -> tomorrow is your last chance for getting your recent AVON order via email to me.
Everyone else, don't forget there is another Sketch up tomorrow at 2 Sketches 4 You
