They are here.....

....U.F.O.'s, that is - but I get to that later.

First of all I wanted to share a few bits and bob with you all, starting with my {{ Just For You }} card winning the challenge over at {{ Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge }} and therefore winning a selection of stamps from {{ *Wink * Wink Ink }}. Not bad, hu?

Now onto other crafty bits - yesterday we had our second Digi Day at the {{ Some Odd Girl }} group over at the {{ SNR Card Universe }}. Boy, was that event hopping - I promise next time I let you know earlier about it but somehow the days before ran away with me and I never got around blogging about it...

Below are a selection of projects I created for the event - and you can still click on the link below the images and play along at any time - only you will no longer qualify for any prizes (sowwy).

So, it may seem that I don't do many layouts anymore these days, right? WRONG - I still do a lot but tend to make them for DT assignments and save a few for challenges and such. But I can share a few more done for my {{ Rock Album }} which focusses on the gigs I saw when the German/U.S. band Vamp opened for the main acts.

Have I kept you in suspense enough? Are you itching to know more about the U.F.O. encounter?!??
Well, here it goes: Last night about 22:00hrs, Mr P and I enjoyed a pew on our balcony, just to chill and cool down from the hot day - we looked at the stars, which started to become more visible by the minute and saw a few planes passing up in the sky.

We were stone cold sober and not tired in the slightest when Mr P said "what kind of a plane is that one? It's bright orange..." We watched it coming closer at a steady pace - no sound, no bouncing around - it just flow in a perfect straight line towards our house...at first we were joking about it being an U.F.O. but that was exactly what it was: and Unidentified Flying Object. Whilst I was frantically trying to look for my video camera, Mr P focused on the thing with his binoculars and described what he saw: "a bright orange circle with fuzzy red outlining". Once I located my camera, we dashed out the front door, as that was the area in which the U.F.O. was heading but it was too far gone into the clouds for me to capture anything (darn, darn, darn).

The thing wasn't even flying quick; a little slower than an air plane and it was so clear to make out. Just looking with the bare eye it seemed almost like one of these Chinese paper lanterns, but if it would have been one of those flying through the air, carried by the wind, they would not go in a perfect line, right?

We tried to find many excuses for what that thing could have been, and what is even weirder is that we realised after the incident that we witnessed something similar a month ago...again around 22:00hrs after a hot day. At that time we had some booze previously and thought we were just seeing something like a balloon, but thinking back after last nights stone sober encounter we are confident that we witnessed an U.F.O. over the Isle of Wight. Tell you what, from now on, every time I spend the evening on the balcony my video camera will not be leaving my side :)
