Yes, yes - I admit it, her highness, the queen of frogging was at it again...
The Vest did not even last two weeks before it was killed off again.
I just cannot bear to have a garment in my wardrobe which bugs me every time I see it. and I knew I would never wear the vest again as I was constantly fidgeting and running past mirrors and my reflection in shop windows at lightening speed - just so I would not have to see how ill fitting it was.
But I digress.
I really, really love the feel of Patons Smoothie DK and it is a dream to work with too. So there was no question that I had to do something with the yarn once it was frogged.
For a number of days, I searched through the Ravelry patterns library and finally found this interesting pattern:
(free download from the Redheart website)
After a week I am almost done and I like how incredibly easy this pattern works
Now, the big question is - will this cardigan survive my CFS (compulsive Frogging Syndrome) or will it measure up to my fickle standards?
Answers on a postcard, please :)

ReplyDeleteNice pattern, it will be a lovely cardigan. I agree with ripping out things that bug you, you have to love it or frog it!
ReplyDeleteI really like your new cardigan, the colour is delightful and the pattern is beautiful. Hope you like it in the end! :-D

I finally pulled out two knitted Tees from last year that needed frogging. One down, one to go. It was my first frogged garment and it felt surprisingly satisfying to now have the yarn back to use for something I might actually wear!
ReplyDeleteI really hope that the yarn isn't cursed or something, because I'll be really sad to see this pretty cardigan get frogged too! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI think this cardi will be the winner - it's very cute! My fingers are firmly crossed for it!
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed when I visit your blog. Ummm you have my addy, right? LOL xoxo
ReplyDeleteMiss you!!
I completely agree about having garments you're dissatisfied with. It's just not worth it, and what a waste of perfectly wonderful yarn! I say, let 'er RIP and re-knit!
ReplyDeleteYou were definitely right to frog if it wasn't going to get worn. That yarn is such a pretty colour it deserves to be seen.
ReplyDeleteIt looks cute so far. I love the color, very spring. I'm like you when it comes to knitting for myself, I'm very picky so by the time I find the pattern and the yarn I'm on to something else. That's why EJ gets so many knits :D
ReplyDeleteLooks great so far! What a happy color. I bet it feels so great to make something you like from something you didn't use anymore.
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks lovely! I just love the soft waves from the cables. Fingers crossed for this one surviving!
ReplyDeleteCFS, I think I've had that once or twice. I hope the CTC survives -- can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the continuing saga of your CTF Cardi. :) It looks good so far! The yarn looks comfy-cozy, and the color is so Springy!
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I love that stitch pattern.
ReplyDeleteNice stitch pattern, good color, gorgeous Cardigan pattern (smallest part at the waist). Must be a winner!
