2S4Y - Laura #36 and much more

Is it Monday already?? I can't believe there is already another sketch up at {2s4y} and it is another beauty!
Once again the DT were sponsored by Sakura of America, so Anja and myself provided some additional inspo for the team.

Laura's sketch is stunning, don't you think?

To tell you the truth, I struggled so much this week - no idea why but somehow the card would not come together. When I saw the sketch for the first time I had a clear vision how I wanted my card to look, but my hands had their own idea. Three cards made it into the bin and for the first time I thought I would have to let Laura and Kazan know that I am unable to play along.

But my last attempt generated this card and I am happy enough with it. The bird shape was actually traced onto a scrap sheet of chipboard, which used to serve as my work surface for when I use Glimmer Mist. The colour combination therefore was pretty much a happy accident. That shows you again - do not throw anything away, you may be able to use it!

Cardstock: Papermill; Bazzill
Papers: Upsy Daisy Designs #MT2-013. Martin, #ED012. Fantasy; October Afternoon
Stamp: myStampBox - Gelegenliches kleine Box
Other: Ribbon; Border Punch; Glimmer Mist

Check out what the other girls did {here} and have a bash yourself to win a fabulous prize.

Wasn't our {blog-hop} fun? I certainly enjoyed looking at all the cards that were created and comments left and I am so very happy for all the winners - have fun with your goodies ya'll.

Other than WCMD, there was an online crop happening at {art freckles} and I thought I check it out. Even though I started off kinda mojoless - in the end I had some fabulous projects to show for.
The DT on the board challenged us and inspired with fantastic ideas and I will be certainly back there to hang out once in a while

Linda Sue challenge us to create a {fence card} and this is what I came up with - I really LOVE how this card ended up.

Cardstock: Bazzill, Stampin' Up
Paint: Ranger Dabbers
Rub Ons: Rusty Pickle
Glimmer Mist, Embroidery Floss, Cuttlebug Embossing folders, Glitter Glue, Chalk

You can see here just how well the Cuttlebug embossing folder brought out the woody look of the fence. I think I need to make some more of these :)

And then there was the make'n'take from Shannon for a {halloween tag}. Even though I am not really into Halloween and I don't generally have use for Halloween cards and stuff, I had to make one of them and totally enjoyed it! And also the little {atc}to which Kimberley challenges us. Love that I could use up my old Rusty Pickle scraps. I kept those Halloween bits as I thought one day they may come in handy

Cardstock: Bazzill
Papers: October Afternoon, Rusty Pickle
Chipboard Alpha: Pressed Petals
Other: Glimmer Mist, Lace, Buttons, Twine

Cardstock: Bazzill

But that's not all, oh no - I also  created another card for Renee's {seriously spook} challenge and a layout for Shannon's {thankful} challenge. Yep, I guess I was a scrapping fool and I really had a good time.
