I totally forgot to share the layout I created for the August Lift, which incidentally made use of the Quirky Lite Kit I have been talking about HERE.

I never used to like Pebbles Inc papers but since they teamed up with American Crafts I think they have come up with fab designs.

Now, I can wait for my next Quirky Kit which is packed with Studio Calico papers - my new fave!

Say What???

I love scrapping vintage photographs, especially the ones of me as a wee girl. Some of them trigger lots of memories, like this one - the doll, I am clutching had the brightest red hair you can imagine and the freakiest face. In truth, it looked like a double of Chucky....but I loved it, and carried it everywhere

On another note , I am excited to say that I have re-opened my little online shop again. I have been asked by a few peeps if they can purchase some of my crochet stuff and some of my cards, so I figured - why not put it out there in a shop?

I am adding bits and pieces as I go along and I was also super excited to get my hands one some fun vintage stuff the other day - perfect pieces either to use on paper crafting projects or just to admire :)))

Home and Away.....

...that is the title of Mr P's and my daily soap. I have been an addict follower of HOME + AWAY since I moved to the UK (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when...). Mr P has been an addict even longer than that and when he was in Oz back in 1996, he simply had to have is picture taken overlooking "Summer Bay", the fictional seaside town of the soap.

I found that the background cardstock I created HERE was prefect for the picture and to top it all off, it also works for the second challenge over at KASSETTENKINDER, where the requirements ask for the use of the colours blue, green and yellow.

See the flower at the top left corner? I misted the blossom layers with different colours of Cosmic Shimmer, so that they would fit in, neat hu? I know that this is old news but I never did it before....I am SO behind the times. But as of now, only white flowers and trims will make it into my stash so I can dye them with mists and inks to suit my needs.

Lately I have been extremely blessed to have had oodles of my work been picked up for publication - amazing, really that right now almost everything I submit gets picked.
Recently I have had a gift container published in Ready, Set, Create - a layout in Scrapstreet and my most treasured - a double pager in Cards! Just look at how wonderful the card was displayed by the mag

And right now, I have another card and project in he pipeline for Ready, Set, Create and a layout to appear in Scrapbook News & Reviews this weekend.
 I am so thankful and feel very blessed indeed.

Thankful

Well, here it is - the layout to go with my word for the year. You can tell I am already much more focussed on living by my word seeing that it only took me two days into the year to actually create this layout :)

I guess right now I am thankful for being creative and inspired.

Of course I used the papers and cardstock from my {{January Kit}} and I surprised myself at how well I am dealing with the "pinkness"....you see, even though I love the colour pink, I have a hard time scrapping it - not this time though.

Watch Out

I know, I know - some of my long standing online buddies will remember the following picture and that I have previously scrapped it...but I always itched to do it again.

For those of you who don't know the story behind it:

When Mr P. and I went on a winter holiday (bearing in mind that Mr P. has been living in the South of England all his life, so snow is not something he is used to) we made a promise to ourselves. I always wanted to jump into some fresh snow and make a snow angel but Mr P. had other aspirations: to pee his name in the snow.

Yah, he did exactly that and this is why you should always follow the old saying to "Never Eat Yellow Snow" - you just never know when Mr P. has been in town :)))))

I used again my {{January Kit}} and the reason why this layout doesn't look too pink is because I used the reverse side of the papers (see, I am not as stupid as I look)

Do any of you use Google Reader to organise the blogs you like to look at?

Well,I do and what I like even more are the recommendations Google makes to you with regard to blogs you may be interested in. This is how I found out about the wicked digi images of {{KennyK}}...I mean, how can you NOT love the Rock dudes???

Memba, when I said that I don't really love people images so much? Uhm, ya I am so over that statement already - because I seriously love those KennyK images - they are different and they have attitude with a capital "A".

I decided I may treat myself to one image per month - they are only $3.00 each so, why not, eh?

And while I was there, I saw they have a challenge blog too - so naturally I had to razzle up something quick for {{Challenge #26}} using the theme of love

I made us of their Freebie for the month and one of the Valentine's Images and created a tag and a card
