Happy Birthday to ME and SOG - Challenge #1 Rainbows

I am so excited to see that the Challenge Blog for {{ Some Odd Girl }} has gone live today. Twice a month will you come across some fabulous inspirational challenges, which will of course feature heavily on the wonderful digi-stamps available in store.

I was lucky enough to be able to play along with the girls as a birthday treat and chose the {{ Nana Split }} stamp to create this fun birthday card, which should by now be with my goddaughter in Germany :)

myStampBOX - DT March, Pt I and DT Call

Today marks the first of my last uploads for {{myStampBOX}} as my DT term ends on 31 March 2010. It has been an amazing six months and I enjoyed to work with these wonderful stamps and the fantastic team.

Unfortunately my last shipment from mSB with the new releases only made it across the pond a few days ago, so I have to show you some more projects with some older stamps. BUT just because I have used those stamps a myriad of times before does not mean they have lost their appeal to me - far from it. We all have some stamps we keep using over and over again, right?

My most used set definitely has to be {{Just Add Notes}} - not one weekend goes by when I don't use it.

So, I created another page for my {{Rock Album}}, the first set of Bon Jovi tickets, the next lot is already waiting on my craft table to be added :)

Another set I dearly love is the {{Happy Birthday - Small Box}}. You will never run out of uses for a sentiment stamp set. 

There is always one birthday or the other around the corner and I happened to need one card for a co-worker. She LOVES everything queenish/princessy so the card in the shape of a crown was the only option :). The "Happy Birthday" sentiment was just stamped around the edges to give some depth and turned into a lovely border.

And - you guessed it, of course - I teamed the stamping with a helping of Cosmic Shimmer

myStampBox - DT January 2010 , Pt I

Upsy Daisy Designs - DT November, Pt III

You know, I do feel a little bit sorry for all who celebrate their birthdays come December. Somehow it seems as if we are ignoring their existence. Everyone just talks about Christmas presents, making Christmas cards, wrapping Christmas presents and getting last minute Gifts.

If you have a friend or family member whose birthday falls into this hectic time-frame, you will find yourself getting hysterical at the thought that someone actually "dares" to have the need for a birthday card.
Ya, I know - totally inconsiderate of them, isn't it?

So, here's a little handy tip for you all. When you start making your Christmas cards, put a few scraps and cut-off from your papers aside. I kept some of the hand-cut snowflakes off the TREE FARM papers and with the aid of some foam pads adhered them to a large sized tag. A touch of glitter glue added to their centers and tips - and you have created a wintry feel.

All your tag needs now is the sentiment "Happy Birthday" and you have a quick fix if you need a birthday card for December. Just stick the tag on any card base and you are good to go.

2S4Y - Laura's Sketch #38

Old habits are difficult to break and creating a card each week for 2 Sketches 4 You is a habit I have grown very fond of. Despite finishing my DT term last week, there is no way that I will stop playing along...oh nooooo.

So, this week we had Laura's super cute {sketch #38} to play with - loving it.

The first card I made went straight into the bin. I farted around with it for three days and finally decided that it looked like poop. Sometimes the firecy ripping of paper does something to my mojo and within 6 minutes this card was done and dusted. Maybe I should start ripping up ALL my first takes...yeah, right - better not go there.
